April Staff Quarantine Recommendations: Binge-Worthy Shows and Movies

Okay, so, you’re stuck in your home, we are stuck in our homes, everyone is stuck in a home! We are all extremely grateful to be healthy but being forced to stay indoors during a global pandemic is pretty wild, even for us.

But what are you going to do?

Watch a lot of Netflix. Order too much pasta off Uber Eats. Listen to a few podcasts while waiting for your friends to send you their next favorite meme. Oh, wait, is that just us? Maybe! But we are just people, like you, obsessed with movies and television. Trying to survive in these odd times.

Take a look at the Pinnacle Staff’s recommendations to see what movies and shows are helping us thrive during quarantine.

Binge-Worthy:

Community

Community

“Community is back on Netflix, if you haven’t seen self-made yet it’s a must!” – Ethan Aparicio, Senior Account Executive

Ozark

Ozark

“I Binged Ozark season 3 last weekend. Give Julia Garner all the awards. She’s incredible. I’m also currently watching Season 5 of Luther in the evenings.” – Chad Bennett, Video Editor

Dead To Me

A show keeping our Account Executive, Sydney Elkin, sane, she says, is Dead to Me on Netflix.

Parks & Recreation

Parks & Recreation

Our Web Developer, Mike Franco, says he’s been binge-watching older series on Netflix like Parks & Rec and Rick & Morty on Hulu. Franco seems to have a thing for ampersands, doesn’t he?

Just Add Magic: Mystery City

Just Add Magic: Mystery City

“I’m also trying to find new shows for my daughter to watch so we can have some adventures together,” Mike also says. “We found “Just Add Magic: Mystery City”, which is about a magic cookbook. She loves magic and adventures.”

Feel Good

Feel Good

“I honestly binge-watched Feel Good on Netflix during the first or second week in quarantine. Mae Martin is kind of amazing to me, and this show is a perfect representation of a co-dependent relationship wrapped up in a love story. Also, it’s, like, six episodes so I still had time to binge another show after.” – Alexandria Gryder, Social Media Manager
